Unseen USA

Privacy policy

Without an account

You can use the whole site without signing in. Everything you mark (states, counties, national parks, game scores, the title and photo on your map) is saved only in your own browser. It is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

If you sign in with Google

Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture, and a Google account number. We use them to show who is signed in, to link your Premium purchase, and to credit hidden gems you send in. We never get your Google password.

A small cookie keeps you signed in. It holds only a random session code, can't be read by the page's scripts, and is sent only over a secure connection.

What we store on our server

Data is stored with Cloudflare (our host) in the United States.

Who else gets data

We don't sell your data, and the site has no advertising or tracking scripts.

Share links

A share link contains the places you marked and your map title, written into the link itself. Anyone with the link can see that map. We don't store it.

Download or delete your data

Signed in, open the menu under your picture (top right):

Outside links

Some buttons open other sites, such as Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
